'The Conversation' by Francis Ford Coppola
Extract from the 1974 film 'The Conversation' by F.F.Coppola. The idea of audio having such significance, interpreting different meanings by certain words obtained through surveiliance.
"Coppola has cited Blowup (Michelangelo Antonioni) as a key influence on his conceptualization of the film's themes, such as surveillance versus participation" (wikipedia.org)

What i found intriguing was the paranoia/ obsession related to listening into other people's conversations, taking it out of context and misconstruing the situation, i feel this film deals with the theme of surveillance well.
I bought this film on dvd as well as 'Blow Up'.
